A: No, Locl will never make automatic updates to your business’ location(s). Locl is designed to help you easily manage your online listings, connect with new customers, and grow your business – we will never make unauthorized changes to any customer account.

A: It is a quick diagnostic that evaluates how strong and complete your local business listings are across major directories and search platforms.

A: Scores are location specific and may be ran for each claimed and verified GBP location.

A: The score shows how well your listings are helping or hurting visibility in local search. A higher score usually means better discovery and more opportunities for new customers.

A: Core factors include: Foundational Score = listing accuracy, completeness and consistency of profile details, category alignment, hours, photos, reviews, and consistency of name, address, and phone across directories. Recent Activity = to what degree is the content and activity on your profiles current and fresh. Directory Score = is your business visible (enrolled), has correct info, and is it synced and consistent across top search directories.

A: Enter your business information and run a scan. The tool analyzes your listings and returns a numeric score with prioritized recommendations. Locl will automatically run a score on locations when you create a Locl account and connect a GBP account(s).

A: Locl Scores match how Google ranks your business for visibility and reliability. For easy of understanding, a Locl Visibility Score also models a credit burea score, out of 850. A high score means your listings are accurate, fresh, and visible in local search directories. Inactivity, or lack of information and content will cause scores to go down over time, similar to your actual visibility. You can see which specific Score components change and affect points and your Score in your Locl Account.

A: It flags a long list of common profile, recent activity, and directory visibility problems, including: lack of, missing, or inconsistent profiles and profile details, outdated hours, missing additional categories, lack of content, reviews and review responses, and the other problems that hurt search engine rankings and potential customer perceptions of your business.

A: Locl Visibility Score does not compare you to your competitors. However, Locl's Map Ranking Tools do show you how you rank to competitors for specific keywords within specified distances.

A: We recommend checking your Score on a weekly basis. You will also receive a weekly "Score Update" email to help keep you informed on positive and negative Score and visibility changes.

A: No. Locl Visibility Score indexes aspects of your GBP, but does not factor in GBP performance data, e.g. Direction Requests, Phone Calls, Google Maps visibility changes, etc. The GBP Performance section of your Locl account makes this performance data and insights available.
